  This month we will be heading to J Resorts for lunch and a presentation by Jonathan Boulware, Regional VP of Nevada Operations for J Resorts.

  In 2017, Jacobs Entertainment began a journey to transform and revitalize West Downtown Reno by acquiring 200 acres of land. The vision is to create a dynamic new destination where people can live, stay, and experience art, great food, entertainment, sporting activities, and Reno’s history.

  They have branded this area as The J Resort Reno’s Neon Line District, which currently features 13 art sculptures along West 4th Street, vibrant entertainment in our Glow Plaza and Festival Ground Entertainment venues, and our newest remodeled property – the J Resort.  This district will continue to take shape as a modern hub of culture, comfort, and excitement, anchored by major expansion plans for the J Resort.

  Jonathan will tell us more about how this vision began, why they chose West 4th Street, and their plans for this area over the next five years. You will hear why this is more than a development—to them it is the next evolution of Reno, a place built for community, connection, and unforgettable experiences.

  In honor of International Women’s History Month, join IWF Nevada for an engaging conversation on how women leaders can use the TEDx platform—and TED-caliber communication—to amplify their voice, visibility, and influence.

  With more than 3,000 TEDx events held globally each year, the format remains one of the most powerful vehicles for spreading ideas and elevating thought leadership. Whether you aspire to give a TEDx talk or simply want to bring that level of clarity and impact to keynotes, panel discussions, and media interviews, this session will show you how.

  IWF Nevada member, Alexia Vernon, CEO of the global executive communication and vocal empowerment firm, Step into Your Moxie, will share insights from over two decades in the TEDx community—co-organizing events, coaching speakers worldwide, delivering her own TEDx talk on a new paradigm for feminism, and most recently guiding her 11-year-old daughter, Kaia Vernon-Oliveira, to the TEDxLasVegas stage.

  
  

  After her presentation, Alexia will be joined by Kaia and Dr. Kristen Averyt, IWF Nevada member and a fellow TEDxLasVegas speaker. During a candid conversation and audience Q&A, they will share their TEDx experiences and share tips for what it takes to craft and deliver talks that resonate, delight, and create lasting impact.
