Claire Rothman will be joining us to give us some imparting wisdom and tell us about life lessons learned.
Claire Rothman has eight NBA championship rings and was the President of the California Forum, the home of the LA Lakers and the LA Kings, she did everything but coach the teams. She was the first woman in the country, and at the time the only woman, to run a major sports arena that had a major NBA and NHL teams. Ticketmaster had been trying to recruit her for a long time, so Claire left to become Executive Vice President. She retired from Ticketmaster after a few years. Claire was the President of the Los Angeles Convention Center Commission and served on the boards of the Music Center of Los Angeles, City of Hope, Reprise Theater Company, and the Trusteeship for the Betterment of Women (IWF’s Los Angeles Chapter). She was also served on the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Committee and the 2012 Olympic Bid Committee. She has been recognized over a dozen times by various organizations including Billboard Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Women in Business, and the YWCA. She was also awarded a Lifetime Achievement in Sports and Entertainment by the University of South Carolina.
