In honor of International Women’s History Month, join IWF Nevada for an engaging conversation on what makes TEDx talks effective—and how those same communication choices can elevate your voice, visibility, and influence in any communication setting.

With more than 3,000 independently organized TEDx events held globally each year, the TEDx talk format has become one of the most visible examples of how ideas can be communicated with clarity, presence, and emotional pull. For women leaders who want their ideas to land with greater resonance, this session explores how to communicate with more presence and impact across leadership settings—whether you’re speaking in the boardroom, on a panel, or with the media.

IWF Nevada member Alexia Vernon, CEO of the global executive communication and vocal empowerment firm Step into Your Moxie, will share insights drawn from more than two decades of experience supporting independently organized TEDx events—as a speaking coach, TEDx speaker, and as a former event co-organizer. She will also reflect on her most recent experience supporting her daughter, Kaia Vernon-Oliveira, in delivering a talk at TEDxLasVegas.

Following her presentation, Alexia will be joined by Kaia and Dr. Kristen Averyt, IWF Nevada member and fellow TEDxLasVegas speaker, for a candid conversation and audience Q&A. Together, they’ll share lessons learned from their TEDx journeys and practical guidance for crafting and delivering talks that connect, engage, and move people to take action.
