We will be offering a Zoom option for our members in Southern Nevada.

This month we will have a very robust presentation by DRI in the

Stout Conference Center.

Our speakers include:

Dr. Kumud Acharya, President of DRI, will be leading a conversation about the work that DRI is leading on Extreme Heat, STEM Education and some innovative research on Arborglyphs.

Dr. Tim Brown, Research Professor, Climatology, and Director of Western Regional Climate Center, will give an overview of AWE+ and living with wildfire prone areas

Emily McDonald-Williams, Director of the STEM Education Program – will give an overview of DRI’s STEM Education program that translates the science is conducted at DRI by grade level for Nevada’s students and teachers

Dr. Teresa Wriston, Associate Research Professor, Geoarchaeology, will speak about her work with arborglyphs https://youtu.be/AZPMpDg8mEM?si=mABCgZGvxsaZ5VGp
