Joy Heuer is the Executive Director of Girls on the Run Sierras. We will get to hear about what this organization is all about and their overall impact on our community.

Joy’s ability to inspire and motivate others is a valuable asset. Her passion for Girls on the Run’s mission to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confidant is contagious and helps to rally support from staff, volunteers and community members. Prior to Girls on the Run, Joy was the COO of the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce.

Joy is a graduate and former co-chair of Leadership Reno Sparks, WIN Speaker Series past president, 2023 Nevada Women’s Fund Woman of Achievement, graduate of the Reno FBI Citizens Academy and currently enrolled in the Washoe County Leadership Academy.

When not working to further the GOTR mission, she is traveling and spending time with her guy, Eric. She is Mom to Winnie the Pug and Zeus the cat! Joy enjoys live music, traveling and pizza!

Please note: if you register without paying, you will be counted as part of the final headcount unless you cancel before the cancellation deadline. Being part of the final headcount makes you responsible for payment of event fees whether or not you show up for the event per Policy 13.
