Chief Kukulus began working for the Nevada Division of Forestry as a Firefighter/Paramedic, which eventually became Sierra Fire, and later Truckee Meadows Fire in 2012. He has held nearly every rank in the fire service during his tenure and has been the Deputy Fire Chief since July of 2019.  Chief Kukulus is a graduate of the University of Nevada Reno with a degree in Business-Management, and also has a degree in Fire Science.

Division Chief August Isernhagen began his career in the natural resource and wildland fire management fields in 2000 in Western Nevada.  He started as a Seasonal Park Ranger and was a volunteer fire fighter for several years.  Chief Isernhagen joinedthe Nevada Division of Forestry in 2003 and remained there until 2020, when he took the Wildfire/Fuels Division Chief position with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.

While with Nevada Division of Forestry, Chief Isernhagen spent many years in the Engine, Conservation Camp, and Aviation Programs.  Chief Isernhagen is a graduate of the University of Nevada Reno with a degree in Forest Management and Ecology and a minor in Rangeland Ecology and Management.  He is nearly finished with a master’s degree in Public Administration.
