since the founding of IWF, 
and 20 years for the
Nevada International Women's Forum.

Stephanie Mathews O'Keefe, the Chief Executive Officer of the International Women's Forum & Leadership Foundation, will be inspiring us at our September luncheon with a thought provoking presentation on the engagement and impact of IWF around the world. 

The IWF International Board of Directors has begun its strategic planning process to ensure IWF continues to be the most important organization for women leaders, and that it is both programmatically cutting edge and financially stable. There are a total of 74 Forums world wide; the newest one is in Alabama. There was record attendance at the Cornerstone Conference in Barcelona, and over 350 attendees have already registered for the Conference in Toronto.

Stephanie Mathews O’Keefe
to Las Vegas, Nevada
as our guest speaker in September.

Her Las Vegas presentation will be broadcasted live via Facebook to our Northern Nevada members meeting at the same time in Reno.

Stephanie was appointed CEO of the International Women’s Forum in September, 2016. Her career has spanned the private sector, government and non-profit organizations where she has held senior leadership positions for over two decades. Most recently, she served as the Chief Communications Officer for CTIA, the telecom trade association and as Executive Vice President for Communications at the American Bankers Association.

She began her career in finance as an investment banker at Credit Suisse. Her government service includes positions at both the state and federal level as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Task Force on Children, Youth and Families in her home state of West Virginia and as the Executive Vice President for Communications at the Export-Import Bank of the United States. For over a decade, she was the Executive Vice President for External Affairs for Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a US community development intermediary. She has led change in every organization she has served, successfully creating new programs, executing new strategies and strengthening communications and brand visibility.

O’Keefe holds an AB in economics and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. She serves on the Smithsonian Institution’s American Enterprise Finance Sector Committee and the West Virginia University Reed College of Media Visiting Committee.
