Eric Hobbie began his journey in 2001 as a bartender in the club circuit of New York City. Eric first jobs in Las Vegas were at the Playboy Club, Jet, Moon, His first restaurant employer in Vegas was Charlie Trotters.
Eric secured a position at B&B and Carnevino soon thereafter. There he met his first true mentors Pascal Bouldac and Victor Pinkston. Giada De Laurentis then approached him to design her program and lead her very first restaurant concept. For the past 2 years he has been running Cliques entire beverage program which has 13 venues currently and growing by the day.
Eric’s accomplishments include:
- 2013 – First Place best margarita in Vegas at the Rock N Roll Margarita Contest
- 2012 – Second Place at the Woodford Reserve Manhattan Cocktail Competition
- 2012 – First Place at Absolute’s Best Bloody Mary in America Contest
- 2014 - First Place Kettle One Surrender the Coupe
- 2016- First Place Bulldog Gin UBBC
- 2016- First Place Jack Daniels Black Book Competition
- 2016- First place Kai Spirits Punch Bowl Challenge
- 2019- First place Las Vegas Most Intriguing Mixologist
Written up in The Las Vegas Food and Beverage Professional publication, Daily Fiasco, Vegas Seven Magazine, The Tasting Panel Magazine. He will be featured in 2017 Jack Daniels Black Book which is distributed to 17,000 bartenders around the country.
When asked what bartending means to him, Eric never talks about the custom infusions, floral syrups, or any of the other unique palate-tingling items he’s created. Instead he talks about his guests. He’ll tell you that bartending isn’t about making the best cocktail. It’s about making the guest feel as if they were invited into their own home and waited on by their own butler who happens to be their best friend and has the best jokes and stories. It’s about establishing a relationship as soon as the guest arrives and being able to bring them to a place they have never been before.
Eric has always said, “A good rapport between a bartender and their guests adds more to a cocktail than any ingredient you may put in.”

You can be seen and heard by the presenter or the other attendees depending on your settings.
Due to the limited number of spaces, no guest registration will be permitted until 72 hours before this event in order to give all members ample opportunity to register first.
