"Kate Renwick-Espinosa is the president of VSP Vision Care, the nation’s largest not-for-profit vision benefits and services company. She leads efforts to provide access to high quality eye care and eyewear services to 85 million members through a network of more than 41,000 doctors worldwide.
In this role, Renwick-Espinosa leads the VSP Vision Care business in growing membership through diverse channels, including Fortune 500 companies, health plans, strategic partners, small businesses, and direct to consumer. Additionally, Renwick-Espinosa oversees VSP Vision’s Network strategy, ensuring that VSP’s network meets client and member needs while also supporting the success of network doctors.
Renwick-Espinosa has worked for VSP for more than three decades, and previously served as VSP Vision’s first chief marketing officer. Under her leadership, VSP has reached historic growth in domestic membership, helping more people see every possibility.
Renwick-Espinosa and her team also helped develop a broad social responsibility platform that includes charitable and community giving. To date, the program has invested $225 million in providing free vision care for millions of people in need.
Renwick-Espinosa serves as the chairwoman for the National Association of Vision Care Plans (NAVCP). Additionally, she was named the 2021 Metro Chamber Businesswoman of the Year and was a Sacramento Business Journal Women Who Mean Business honoree in 2022. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Davis and a master’s degree in business administration from California State University, Sacramento.
