Bio
Melissa D. Kaiser is the CEO of DISCOVERY Children’s Museum, a nonprofit educational institution in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kaiser moved to Las Vegas to take the helm of the Museum in May 2018.
Kaiser has more than 30 years non‐profit management experience at major organizations in the non-profit sector. With expertise in fundraising, partnership building, and strategic planning, Kaiser has raised over $100 million in capital funds for the organizations she has served in executive leadership positions.
Kaiser holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Art History and French from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania as well as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification. She currently serves on the boards of the Nevada International Women’s Forum, the Association of Children’s Museums in Washington, D.C., and as an officer of the board of RAIR Philly, an environment, art and industry non-profit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is also a well-entrenched civic leader in Las Vegas, Nevada as a member of the Summerlin Las Vegas Rotary Club as well as the President's Club and Executive Women’s Council of the Vegas Chamber.
