Bio
Stephanie Tyler, appointed AT&T President of Nevada in May 2010, is a highly accomplished external affairs executive and former Nevada State Senator with over 20 years of multi-state experience in administering government relations programs, corporate communications, campaign management and public service.
Stephanie is responsible for all external affairs for AT&T in Nevada including: state and local government relations, community affairs, regulatory and legislative activities, new technology initiatives and infrastructure investment.
For the past three years, Stephanie has been Executive Director of External Affairs, AT&T Western Region, lobbying in multiple Western States and supporting legislative, governmental, regulatory, and community affairs across its 17-state region. Prior to that, she took a one-year leave of absence from AT&T at the request of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as the Political Director to his successful re-election campaign. Before the campaign, she spent five years lobbying the California Legislature for AT&T.
A native Nevadan, Stephanie spent the early years of her career in a variety of political jobs including serving as staff to U.S. Senator Paul Laxalt and acted as a liaison between his Washington, D.C. and local district offices. She also served as caucus director for the joint Republican Caucus and has worked with the now Glenn Group and EDAWN.
From 1991-1992, Stephanie was elected to the Nevada State Senate where she proudly served District 4 in Washoe County with distinction and tackled key economic development issues impacting the state and Northern Nevada. She has served on statewide commissions and has been an active member in both the Reno and Las Vegas communities throughout her career.
Her career includes two years of service at Harrah’s corporate office, directing several state and local campaigns, and the creation of her own government affairs and public relations firm. She has managed several political campaigns, including statewide races in Nevada and California.
Today, Stephanie continues to work seamlessly with other divisions within AT&T as AT&T Nevada’s new state president to develop and implement cohesive strategic plans to continue to expand critical infrastructure and ensure an excellent customer experience for all Nevadans.
Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with a degree in political science. She has offices in both Reno and Las Vegas.
