Jennings is a proud military daughter. Her father served in the U. S. Army for decades, retiring at the rank of Lt. Colonel. He served in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. Her oldest brother was in the U. S. Navy and also served in Vietnam. Jennings is the eldest of seven children. The family traveled across the United States and Germany while her father was in the military.
