Bio
Felicia O’Carroll joined Kafoury, Armstrong & Co. in 1976 and holds the distinction of being the first woman in the firm elected to shareholder status. Felicia recently retired as Partner with Eide Bailly LLP but continues in her field assisting smaller CPA firms with Quality Control Matters. She served as managing shareholder of Kafoury, Armstong & Co.’s largest office for a number of years prior to their merger with Eide Bailly LLP.
Felicia has led the way for many women and men alike in this industry, with her strong work ethic and commitment to the profession, her family and the community. Felicia’s specialties include governmental auditing, not-for-profit auditing, and individual income taxation. Her governmental audit clients have included the State of Nevada, Washoe County, Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority, Carson City and several other local entities.
Felicia received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1976 and her Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1988.
Felicia is a member of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants, receiving the Society’s Public Service Award in 2004. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Government Finance Officers Association, and the Nevada Government Finance Officers Association.
Felicia has been particularly active with the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for the Foundation of the University of Nevada, Reno. She served from 2002-2007, again in 2010-2015, and a third time in 2017-2020. During that time she was the Foundation’s Vice-Chair of Audit and Finance and also served on the Investment Committee. She was Chair of the Foundation Board of Trustees in 2012 and continues as Vice-Chair of Audit and Finance. Felicia received the professional Achievement Award by the Nevada Alumni Association in 2008 and was presented the President’s Medal in 2016.
Felicia is a founding member of the University’s Silver and Blue Society, served as treasurer for the Nevada Women’s Fund, treasurer of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, treasurer of Health Access of Washoe County, and currently serves as the treasurer for the Domestic Violence Resource Center and chair of the Oversight Committee for the Sanford Center for Aging.
Felicia is a native Nevadan and enjoys golf and traveling.
