Bio
Lena opened the Consulate of Sweden in Nevada in 2006 and was appointed Honorary Consul of Sweden to Nevada.
In 2014, she Co-Founded "Awareness Is Prevention" (AIP) with her husband, a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization focusing on bringing awareness of sex trafficking of minors through education and training of law enforcement, Clark County School District and private schools, other NGO's and the public. Lena is working closely with the Swedish Embassy to promote "The Swedish/Nordic Model" in the US, which targets the sex buyers.
Lena spent almost 20 years overseas with both the Swedish and US Diplomatic Services. She lived and worked in Thailand, Laos, South-Korea, Spain, Austria and France. She speaks seven languages.
Lena moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1997 with her husband and two sons. She started a high-tech Manufacturing company with her husband in 1995, followed by an international Home Furnishing company with a focus on Scandinavian design.
Today she works as a Consultant with a focus on her work as President of AIP.
